By accessing or using Chalk & Settle ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Chalk & Settle is a private club wagering platform and consumer golf application that provides digital tools for tracking scores, calculating settlements, and managing wagering events for golf, tennis, and pickleball. The Platform does not hold, process, or transfer wagers or funds between users. All financial settlements are between the players themselves.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By using Chalk & Settle, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and that your use of the Platform complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including any laws related to wagering or betting.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Certain features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are available as:
Consumer Monthly: $2.99/month
Consumer Annual: $24.99/year
All new consumer subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. During the trial period, you have full access to all features at no charge. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable rate.
Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate.
When purchased through the Apple App Store, payment is processed by Apple and managed through your Apple ID account settings. When purchased through Google Play, payment is processed by Google and managed through your Google Play account settings. When purchased through the web, payment is processed by Stripe.
You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal:

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until the period expires. Refunds are handled by the applicable platform (Apple, Google, or Stripe) per their refund policies.
Club subscriptions are billed annually directly through Stripe. Per-event trials are available. Founding rates, when offered, are locked for the life of the subscription as long as it remains active.
New consumer accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features including unlimited games, scoring, settlement, game sharing, and all game variations. No payment information is required to start the trial when signing up through the web. When signing up through the App Store or Google Play, payment information may be required by the platform but you will not be charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
Chalk & Settle is rated 17+ and is intended for adults only. The Platform involves score tracking and settlement calculation for golf wagering games between friends and club members. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
Chalk & Settle does not take a percentage or fee from any wager pool, auction pot, or settlement amount. Every dollar wagered is returned to the players. Our revenue comes exclusively from subscription fees.
You agree not to use the Platform to violate any applicable law or regulation, including gambling laws in your jurisdiction. You agree not to attempt to access other users' data, interfere with the Platform's operation, reverse engineer the software, or use the Platform for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose.
All content, design, code, and branding on the Platform are the property of Chalk & Settle and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without written permission.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Score calculations are provided as a convenience; users are responsible for verifying settlement amounts.
Chalk & Settle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to financial losses from wagering activities, data loss, or service interruptions. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Platform in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Chalk & Settle is a score tracking and settlement calculation tool. The Platform does not facilitate, process, or hold any wagers. All wagering is conducted privately between users. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their activities comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws. Chalk & Settle is not a gambling operator and bears no responsibility for the legality of private wagers between users.
Chalk & Settle does not process, hold, transfer, or facilitate any real money transactions between users. The Platform calculates settlement amounts based on game scores and configured bet values. All actual financial settlements between players occur outside the Platform and are the sole responsibility of the participants. The Platform is a score tracker and settlement calculator, not a payment processor or gambling operator.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations and dispute resolution) shall survive.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
When you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store, your purchase is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). When you purchase through Google Play, your purchase is subject to Google Play's Terms of Service.
